Partners in Print is an easy-to-implement parent involvement literary resource.  The all-in-one Partners in Print kit has simple step-by-step instructions, directions and reproducibles for workshops, which cut down on planning time for planing teams to promote and conduct meaningful, focused, parent involvement workshops at your school.  The workshops will prepare and empower parents to help their children become successful readers, encourage oral language development, comprehension and more. Teachers will increase the home-to-school connection and engage parents in meaningful literacy activities.

Workshops include:  Drawing Meaning from Text; Book Selection; Bulding Self-Esteem; Reading Methods; Playing with Print; The Reading/Writing Connection; Reading Extensions; Writing; Comprehension; Using the Internet; Time for Talking; Learning About Newspapers; Logging Reading Mileage; Sports Literacy; Technology Talk; Understanding the Text; Nonfiction Text; The Way Words Work; Power Over Print.  Each program includes up to 15 workshops.

There are two levels,

Primary (Grades PreK-2)  includes:15 workshops; Program Binder/Workshop Resource Guide, Staff-training DVD, 52 Home-Activity Sheets, 21 Overhead Transpariencies; 55 Activity posters, and Primary Library with Big Books and small books to enhance activities

and Intermediate (Grades 3 - 6) which is an extension to Primary. Includes: 13 workshops; Program Binder/Workshop Resource Guide. Staff Training CD-Rom; 52 Home-Activity Sheets; Reproduciples CD-Rom, 50 Activity posters and Intermediate / Middle School Library.
