Ideal for visual literacy and critical literacy, the series is levelled and includes 50% fiction and 50% non-fiction books, big books, interactive CDs roms, assessment and support guides. Includes practical teaching notes at the back of each book making guided reading lessons easy to manage.

There are 140 titles to launch the Series, commencing with the Lilac band - wordless books that tell stories or give information through pictures - designed to develop understanding about how stories and information books work. The series then progresses through different coloured bands: Pink band for emergent readers with simple, predictable text with familiar objects and actions (levels 1/2). Red Band (levels 2/3), Yellow (4/7) , Blue (7/9), Green (10/14), Orange (15/17),Turquoise (17/19), Purple (20/22), Gold (21/22), White (21/24) and Lime (24/25).

Includes interactive CD-Roms for each year to bring an extra dimension to your guided reading sessons. Includes electronic big books and talking books.

Classroom management tool - The Resource and Records Manager will help you to organise your reading resources so you can find the book you're looking for quickly and easily. It also allows you to create a running record for each pupil to help track their progress.
